Welcome to Asbestos Awareness for staff who may have to come into contact with asbestos materials and be able to identify where they may be.

This module will help you understand what asbestos is, as well as the health implications of exposure, where it is likely to be found in buildings, or during inspections, and what you need to do if you suspect the presence of asbestos.

This module doesn't prepare you to physically deal with asbestos you encounter. To remove asbestos requires further training and specific Personal Protective Equipment. Contact your line manager if you feel further training is appropriate.
