An Overview of the Data Protection Legislation, including GDPR

This module provides a general overview of trans awareness. It explains some key terms and definitions and also addresses some commonly held misconceptions.  

This awareness raising module is aimed at everyone.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an updated piece of legislation that will set new standards for protecting general data.

The legislation will apply from 25 May 2018 and this suite of five short modules is designed to give you an overview of what you need to do to become GDPR compliant.

This module provides an overview of The Bribery Act 2011 and explain how it affects employees, councillors and Preston City Council as a whole.

It will also cover how to report acts of bribery if you have suspicions that it may have occurred.

This course should be completed by all newly elected Members.

This module will ensure that staff have the basic knowledge to be able to identify children and young people at risk of child sexual exploitation, and the behaviours of potential offenders.

Whilst there is an appreciation that most Preston City Council staff have limited contact with children/young people in their work. It is still important that you are aware of the risk factors and what can be done to minimise these risks.
